All the Winners From the 2026 BAFTAs

The 2026 BAFTAs really delivered a night to remember. The 79th edition of the BAFTA Film Awards happened on February 22 2026 at the Royal Festival Hall in London. This is where they celebrate the movies from around the world. With Alan Cumming as host, the ceremony was lively.

The night was full of glamour, and people like Timothée Chalamet and Leonardo DiCaprio and Jessie Buckley were available. One movie, One Battle After Another won a lot of awards. It won six awards, including the award for Best Film and the award for Best Director which went to Paul Thomas Anderson. Sean Penn also won an award for his role in One Battle After Another. He won the award for Best Supporting Actor.

Another movie, Sinners’ achieved a remarkable feat at the BAFTAs. It won three awards, including the award for Best Supporting Actress that went to Wunmi Mosaku. Sinners also won the award for Best Screenplay and the award for Best Original Score which went to Ludwig Göransson. Ryan Coogler was happy with his win and delivered an inspiring speech.

There were some surprises that night too. Robert Aramayo won the award for Best Leading Actor for his role in I Swear. He beat out some big stars like Timothée Chalamet and Leonardo DiCaprio. Jessie Buckley won the award for Leading Actress for her role in Hamnet. Hamnet also won the award for British Film.

The 2026 BAFTAs also gave awards for the people who work on movies. Frankenstein won a lot of awards for the way it looked and the costumes and the makeup and hair. Avatar: Fire and Ash won the award for Special Visual Effects. They also gave awards to animated movies and documentary movies and short films. Zootropolis 2 won the award for Animated Film and Mr. Nobody Against Putin won the award for Documentary. This Is Endometriosis won the award for British Short Film.

The 2026 BAFTAs honored a lot of kinds of films and the people who worked on them. The 2026 BAFTAs showed that movies can be really powerful and can bring people together from, around the world. The 2026 BAFTAs were a special night and they will be remembered for a long time.
