On CBS Mornings on February 20, 2026, Hilary Duff got honest about one of the most personal songs on her new album, “luck… or something.” Right now, Hilary Duff said she and her sister, Haylie Duff, aren’t really in each other’s lives. “Absolutely the most lonely part of my existence is not having my sister in my life at the moment,” she admitted, reflecting on the distance between them.

She revealed that “We Don’t Talk” reflects the current distance in her relationship with her older sister, Haylie Duff. Before she put it all into a song, she wrestled with the idea privately wondering if she should even share something. That decision didn’t come lightly, particularly given how closely her personal life has been examined in the public eye for much of her career. She realized that, since the album is about connection, being honest about the relationships that have shaped her life was essential.

Having grown up in the limelight, Hilary understands that sharing personal experiences can ignite rumors or lead to misunderstandings. Still, writing music gives her a way to share her story, in her own words, instead of reacting. She didn’t go into details about why she and Haylie drifted apart and she made it clear that this song isn’t about pointing fingers. It’s just her side of things, a way to be sincere about something tough.

With this album, Hilary opens up further about real stories from her own life. She’s exploring what it means to grow apart, figure out who you are, and try to hold onto the people you care about, even when things get complicated.

Eric Dane’s last words to his daughters weren’t scripted, they were just real. In his final interview before he died on February 19, 2026, the actor famous for playing Dr. Mark Sloan on Grey’s Anatomy sat down with Brad Falchuk for Netflix’s Famous Last Words. He was already battling ALS, but the focus wasn’t on the illness. It was his love for his girls, Billie, 15, and Georgia, 14.

Eric didn’t dwell on the fame or the shows. He took comfort in the simple things, sun-soaked days at the beach, Malibu, Santa Monica, Hawaii, Mexico. Those memories with his daughters were everything to him. “I see you now playing in the waves, my water babies,” he said, his voice shaking a bit.

He wanted to leave Billie and Georgia with something to hold onto. Four lessons, actually. First: stay present. Don’t dwell on the past or stress about the future, just be present. “Second: fall in love. Not necessarily with a person, although I do recommend that as well. But fall in love with something,” he urged.

He explained to his daughters that his love for acting began when he was their age and he encouraged them to find what excites them most in life and and pursue it. Third: pick your friends wisely. Keep the ones who lift you up and believe in you. And last, “Fight with every ounce of your being and with dignity when life challenges you,” he said.

“Billie and Georgia, you are my heart. You are my everything. Good night. I love you. Those are my last words.” The interview premiered on Netflix just a day after he passed. It’s more than a farewell it shows his love for his daughters and the message he wanted to leave them.
