Brad Pitt has said he is no longer sober, ending seven years of abstinence and returning to alcohol with what he describes as a more measured approach. In a new interview with “Esquire,”  Pitt said he had remained sober for seven years before deciding to drink again. He described the change as getting “back off the wagon,” adding that he “got overconfident a couple times” before realising that drinking in large quantities was “not good” for him. He said moderation is now important, particularly when it comes to how much he drinks.

The acknowledgment comes after years in which Pitt spoke openly about alcohol and recovery. Following his 2016 split from Angelina Jolie, he sought help through Alcoholics Anonymous. In 2020 he publicly thanked Bradley Cooper for supporting him through that period, crediting him with helping him get sober and saying his life had become happier as a result.

On Dax Shepard’s “Armchair Expert” in 2025, Pitt described the 12-step program as a positive experience and spoke about taking responsibility for past behavior. He also reflected on his recovery and the changes he had made in his life.

In his new interview with “Esquire,” Pitt spoke about moving through grief rather than avoiding it. “I just one day woke up, and it just felt a little sunnier and the air felt a little sweeter,” he told the magazine, describing the small changes that helped him move forward.

He says he is being more deliberate about his limits and how much he drinks. For a public figure who has made his sobriety a significant part of his public story, the latest disclosure puts his relationship with alcohol in a different light. After seven years without alcohol, Pitt is choosing to drink again, but on terms he says he is actively managing.

Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt have formalized a co-parenting agreement for their seven-month-old daughter, Scottie. The announcement comes two months after the couple’s separation in May and underscores their shared commitment to prioritizing their daughter’s well-being.

In a joint statement, Davidson and Hewitt said their priority remains their daughter’s well-being.

“We are cooperatively co-parenting our daughter whose well-being remains our top priority, and we are fully committed to working together to give her love from both of us,” the statement read.

Scottie was born in December 2025. The couple named her after Davidson’s late father, Scott Matthew Davidson. Their relationship became public in March 2025. While they worked through the early challenges of new parenthood, they ultimately decided to end their romantic relationship.

According to PEOPLE, the transition was not without its challenges. The publication previously reported that Hewitt found the adjustment to single motherhood particularly demanding as she balanced caring for her infant daughter with her professional responsibilities.

Davidson has spoken publicly about fatherhood changing his perspective, calling it one of the most rewarding experiences of his life and acknowledging Hewitt’s dedication as a mother.

The agreement reflects a message both Davidson and Hewitt have shared in recent months, that their separation will not affect their commitment to raising their daughter together. The arrangement is centered on maintaining continuity for Scottie, with both parents present and involved in her upbringing.

Davidson and Hewitt are moving forward separately, but their latest step reflects alignment on the one thing they continue to share. As they build distinct lives outside of the relationship, the foundation they are aiming to create for Scottie is one of consistency, with both parents remaining active in her life.

Vivienne Jolie-Pitt Files to Legally Drop “Pitt” From Last Name

Published

on

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s youngest daughter, Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, has filed a petition to legally remove “Pitt” from her surname.

According to documents filed in Los Angeles County Superior court, the 18-year-old is requesting to be legally known as Vivienne Marcheline Jolie. The reason cited: “personal.” A court hearing is set for November 2.

The move follows similar steps taken by some of Jolie and Pitt’s children in recent years. Shiloh’s request to remove “Pitt” from her surname was approved in 2024, while Zahara and Maddox currently have pending petitions seeking the same change.

Vivienne has already used the surname professionally. She was credited as Vivienne Jolie in the 2024 Playbill for “The Outsiders” on Broadway, the production she worked on with her mother. The credit drew attention because it used Jolie rather than Jolie-Pitt.

Vivienne and her twin Knox are the youngest of Jolie and Pitt’s six children. The family has remained under intense scrutiny since Jolie filed for divorce in 2016.

While the divorce was finalized in late 2024, legal disputes between the former couple persist, including an ongoing case over their jointly-owned French winery, Château Miraval. Neither Vivienne nor her representatives have commented publicly on the filing.

As the November hearing approaches, the petition will likely draw attention, not only because of her parents, but because it underscores how the children of one of Hollywood’s most followed families are choosing to chart their own public identities.
