One royal clearly redefined fashion, not just for her generation but those yet to come and she was Princess Diana. Also known as the People’s Princess, Diana was known not just for her grace, kind heart and media influence but also for her fashion looks that made statements and even sparked global trends.

In one of the most anticipated fashion events of the year 2025, Princess Diana’s wardrobe, a collection of over 300 pieces will be auctioned.

From an Instagram post made by Tatler Indonesia, this auction is set to hold on the 26th of June, 2025 and it promises to bring not just nostalgia but an array of fashion history and statement pieces to the public.

So whether you’re a collector, a royal watcher or even a fashion enthusiast, this is an event you shouldn’t miss!

A Royal Closet Like No Other

Diana’s wardrobe is different from that of any other royal family seen before or ever since. She would wear elegant evening gowns with the same grace as she would oversized sweatshirts or cycling shorts. One moment, she was putting on a Catherine Walker dress and another, she was in her trainers.

Princess Diana’s impact extended far beyond fashion, her style was a powerful tool for change. She used clothing to convey messages of empowerment, compassion, and even resistance.

When she wore a red jacket during her famous visit to Angola in 1997, it wasn’t just a fashion statement, it was a bold symbol of her advocacy against landmines. Her “revenge dress,” worn the night of Prince Charles’s public admission of infidelity, remains an iconic representation of reclaiming power.

Diana’s style was about more than just looking good, it was about making a statement. She dressed not for the press, but for herself, reflecting her evolving sense of identity. The auction will provide the public a chance to own not just clothes, but the very essence of Diana’s influence, a chance to wear or at least cherish something that shaped the landscape of fashion, the royal family, and women’s role in the public sphere.

Why This Auction Matters

Fashion auctions of celebrity belongings are common, but Diana’s collection holds a unique place in the hearts of millions. Her wardrobe is a representation of one of the most photographed women in history, but more importantly, it embodies the journey of a woman who navigated love, heartbreak, and personal growth under intense global microscope.

From her early years as a shy, somewhat awkward bride to her later years as an independent, empowered humanitarian, Diana’s style evolution mirrored her personal transformation.

The auction pieces represent these pivotal moments in her life, her style choices were reflections of the different phases of her story.

As Diana’s impact continues to resonate, her wardrobe becomes a bridge between the past and present, blending nostalgia with modern-day relevance.

Items like her signature Lady Dior handbag and her famous casualwear choices (think sweatshirts and cycling shorts) continue to inspire both vintage fashion lovers and younger generations.

Diana’s Fashion Influence: A Lasting Impact

From the “street-style” look of the ’90s to elegant red-carpet gowns, Diana’s influence on fashion is timeless. She continues to inspire designers, influencers, and fashionistas to this day. The auction will offer an up-close look at the pieces that defined her legacy and prove that her influence was never confined to a single era.

Her wardrobe not only tells the story of a royal but of a woman who understood the emotional connection clothing can carry. She knew that what she wore had the power to change perceptions, create a narrative, and reflect the person she was becoming, whether that was a young bride or a dedicated humanitarian.

The auction will feature a curated selection of her iconic pieces  each with its own story and cultural significance. The preview from Tatler includes:

  • A classic cobalt-blue skirt suit, an ode to her refined 90s royal engagements

But perhaps the most surprising inclusion? A tribute to Diana’s casualwear reign, the iconic Northwestern University sweatshirt and white cycling shorts combo.

Kim Kardashian Unveils the Vision Behind Skims’ New London Flagship

Published

g Kim Kardashian has opened the first standalone Skims store in the UK, giving the brand’s signature aesthetic a physical presence in London.

The 12,000-square-foot flagship on London’s Regent Street was designed with New York architect Rafael de Cárdenas, drawing heavily from Kardashian’s own minimalist interiors. The design continues that aesthetic with soft curves replacing sharp edges, while neutral tones, sculptural forms and seamless surfaces give the store a warm, residential feel.

That connection to her home is deliberate. When Skims launched in 2019, fittings happened in Kardashian’s closet and campaigns were shot in her home. She wanted the store to carry that same sense of intimacy.

“People seemed to like this clean, monochromatic aesthetic,” she told Wallpaper. “I wanted as much of the materiality from my home in the store, so it would still feel like it was part of that.”

Kardashian and de Cárdenas added warmth into the space through rounded forms, tactile materials and a subtle signature scent. At the center is a monumental female sculpture by artist Vanessa Beecroft.

“I want people to feel this is their safe space,” Kardashian said. The store is designed for customers to try on underwear, bras, and shapewear in an environment built around comfort and confidence.

The ground floor houses apparel and seasonal collections. Upstairs holds shapewear, alongside dedicated areas for menswear and NikeSkims. What started as a shapewear label has grown into a global brand offering intimates, apparel, activewear, menswear and NikeSkims.

In November 2025, Skims raised $225 million at a $5 billion valuation, with the company expecting to exceed $1 billion in net sales for 2025.

The London opening is another step in the brand’s expansion. On Regent Street, Skims is offering customers a full brand experience. It brings Kardashian’s vision for Skims into a physical setting, with a clean, body-focused design that is meant to feel comfortable and inviting.

For a brand that started in a closet, a 12,000-square-foot flagship on one of London’s most prominent shopping streets shows just how far Skims has come. The store brings the familiarity of Kardashian’s original vision into a much larger setting without losing the sense of comfort at the heart of the brand.

Golden Threads Brings Traditional Saudi Dress to the V&A Museum in London

Published

For generations, traditional Saudi dress has served as more than a form of adornment, reflecting regional identity and cultural traditions passed down through families. From richly embroidered Najdi thobes to garments shaped by centuries of trade, these pieces reflect the traditions, occasions, and communities that gave them meaning. Now, they are being introduced to a wider international audience through Golden Threads: Dress from Saudi Arabia, an exhibition in London that examines the heritage and artistry behind some of the Kingdom’s historic traditional garments.

Photo: Instagram/@communityjameel

The exhibition will be on view at The Jameel Gallery from 3 August 2026 to 30 May 2027. The exhibition marks the 20th anniversary of the V&A’s Jameel Programme in partnership with Community Jameel. At its heart is a selection of women’s garments from Saudi Arabia’s central Najd region, where dress has long reflected social traditions and family heritage.

The exhibition features several Najdi thobes gifted by King Abdulaziz to the daughter of the British Ambassador to Saudi Arabia in 1942 and 1952, traditionally worn during weddings, Eid celebrations, and significant family gatherings. The garments provide a record of traditional Najdi dress.

Crafted from silk and decorated with gold and silver metal-wrapped thread, the thobes feature intricate embroidery, colourful silk panels known as tarasa or tiraasa, and floral motifs. Together, these elements reflect the aesthetic traditions and cultural identity associated with Najdi dress.

The exhibition also highlights Thobe Hind, a style influenced by historical ties between Saudi Arabia and India. Created using Indian textiles and techniques for the Najdi market, the garments reflect a period when trade routes carried not only goods but also artistic influences that found their way into everyday dress. Worn over embroidered underdresses and wide cotton trousers, they combined a distinctive shape with ease and functionality.

Beyond the garments themselves, Golden Threads examines how Saudi women styled and wore these dresses during the 1940s and 1950s. Oversized sleeves were often arranged over the head to frame the body’s outline, while archival photographs, original undergarments, and a newly commissioned film provide further insight into the traditions surrounding the clothing.

More than a display of historic clothing, Golden Threads reveals how dress can preserve memory and reflect the lives of the women who wore it. By bringing these garments to London, the exhibition places Saudi fashion within a broader cultural conversation, offering visitors a deeper understanding of the stories, traditions, and personal expressions woven into every piece.

Adele, Zendaya, and Jennifer Lawrence Are Ditching Sandals for This Summer Shoe

Published

For years, strappy sandals have dominated warm-weather fashion. Now, celebrities are showing renewed interest in a much simpler alternative: flip-flops.

At the British Grand Prix, Adele paired a graphic T-shirt and loose black trousers with black flip-flops, choosing one of this summer’s biggest footwear trends. Zendaya and Jennifer Lawrence have also been seen wearing refined flip-flop styles in recent months, reflecting the style’s growing popularity beyond the beach.

As simple, everyday fashion continues to grow in popularity, flip-flops are making a comeback. Their clean design and versatility make them easy to style for a wide range of outfits.

Why It Works Now

Many brands have updated the classic flip-flop with features aimed at improving comfort and everyday wearability. As demand, for comfortable footwear grows, brands are introducing flip-flops that offer more support and durability than earlier versions.

Dr. Zahra McDonald of MyPod Podiatry has said that well-designed flip-flops with proper arch support can provide more comfort than traditional flat styles. Combined with improved construction, those updates have helped position flip-flops as an everyday footwear option rather than a style reserved for the beach.

They also pack flat, pair with tailored trousers as well as denim, and require zero styling effort, qualities that align with how people are dressing in 2026.

The Styles to Know

For a look closest to Adele’s, the Archies Arch Support Flip-Flops ($40) offer a slim thong strap and monochromatic finish. The silhouette reads polished, not poolside, and has been spotted on Katie Holmes and Jennifer Aniston as well.

The closest match to Adele’s outfit is the FitFlop iQushion Flip-Flops (from $30, was $38). The slim profile mirrors her pair, while the cushioned construction is built to hold up through long days on your feet.
