Vin Diesel has confirmed that filming for “Fast Forever,” the upcoming 11th and final mainline film in the Fast & Furious franchise, is scheduled to begin in December.

The film is currently set for release on March 17, 2028. Diesel shared the filming update while attending the 25th anniversary screening of The Fast and the Furious in Los Angeles. Speaking to Variety, he said production would start in December, provided he can meet the studio’s request.

The announcement follows four years of development and work with four different sets of writers. Diesel said the process was necessary to arrive at a script he felt was worthy of bringing the mainline series to a close.

“I had to go through four sets of writers, four years of development, to get to something that I felt would be worthy of a finale,” Diesel told Variety. “And when I read the script a couple of weeks ago, [I cried].”

At the screening, Diesel also spoke about how emotional the finished script was for him, telling the audience that he began tearing up halfway through and was crying by the end. His sister even joked, “No more crying, bro.”

Director Louis Leterrier, who helmed “Fast X,” has not yet read the latest script. Speaking to Polygon recently, he said he knew the film would have an ending and described it as “great.”

With filming now expected to begin in December, “Fast Forever” is moving closer to its planned 2028 release and the conclusion of the mainline series.

Marvel reveals little about his origin, but the intent is clear. In one shot, Doom casually neutralizes Thor’s attack. No theatrics, only effortless dominance. The casting is deliberately jarring, and that seems to be the point. Rather than an emerging threat, Doom is presented as a figure already in control of the game.

The Multiverse Is No Longer a Side Plot

With realities colliding and worlds at risk, the multiverse emerges not as a backdrop but as the primary battleground of the film.

That explains the roster. Thor appears among the heroes responding to the threat. Sam Wilson’s Captain America, Yelena Belova, Shang-Chi, the Fantastic Four, and familiar X-Men all appear. It marks one of the MCU’s biggest attempts yet to unite characters from different corners of its universe.

The Return of Steve Rogers

The trailer adopts a more serious visual tone than some recent MCU entries. “Doomsday” leans into ruined cities, cracked skies, and cosmic-scale destruction. The tone recalls “Infinity War,” but the focus has shifted. This is no longer about assembling the team. It’s about stopping existence itself from unraveling.

The trailer also hints at cost. There’s a weight to the cuts, heroes outmatched, the stakes feel higher, and no corner of the MCU seems safe which suggests Marvel is willing to let characters fall before “Secret Wars” arrives.

With “Avengers: Secret Wars” already on the calendar, “Doomsday” plays less like a standalone film and more like Act One of a two-part finale for the Multiverse Saga. “Avengers: Doomsday” is scheduled for December 2026.

Warner Bros. has revealed that “Practical Magic 2” draws its story from Alice Hoffman’s 2021 novel.The Book of Magic The film follows the Owens family as they face the return of an old curse that threatens the life and legacy they have worked to build.

The film is directed by Susanne Bier. Original “Practical Magic” writer Akiva Goldsman is back to pen the screenplay alongside Georgia Pritchett and Kelly Marcel.

Bullock and Kidman are also producing the sequel with Denise Di Novi, who produced the 1998 film. Alice Hoffman serves as an executive producer, joined by Andrew A. Kosove, Broderick Johnson, and Donald Sabourin.
