“When I think of the Middle East, I think about fragrance, it goes back to my teta [‘grandmother’ in Arabic], and my aunts and uncles having these fragrances they would mix for themselves, or would wear for 45 years, that were such a part of their personalities; I hope ‘Ôrebella can be one version of their personalities, as well.”

Although the launch was significant, Bella Hadid’s presence drew the most attention  with fans taking to social media to congratulate her.

Can You Combine Botox Treatments with Face Yoga

Published

on

Injectables are becoming a common component of many people’s self-care routines, according to the beauty industry. For a long time, botox has been praised as the fastest way to reduce the look of aging and even out fine lines, now, focus is shifting to what occurs after the procedure. A growing number of people are searching for non-invasive techniques to maintain results, such as skincare, lifestyle modifications, and facial yoga.

Once dismissed as wellness folklore, facial exercise is now becoming more popular among people who want to take a more proactive approach to skin care. Beauty injections work by temporarily relaxing the facial muscles responsible for repeated expressions, whereas face yoga focuses on stimulating and strengthening muscles through controlled movement. Many are beginning to question whether these strategies can actually coexist because they function differently.

Anti-wrinkle treatment functions biologically by obstructing nerve signals that instruct specific face muscles to contract. Dynamic wrinkles brought on by recurrent facial movement over time, such as crow’s feet, frown lines, and forehead lines, are softened by this brief relaxation. In contrast,  Non-invasive facial therapy uses controlled expressions, stretching, massage, and facial exercises to improve circulation, ease tension, and raise muscle awareness.

“Facial yoga should not be performed immediately after Botox. More intensive techniques should be postponed until the full effect has developed and any necessary corrections are completed — typically around two to three weeks,” explains Dr Maria Aiginina, Dermatovenerologist and Cosmetologist at Hide Clinic, Dubai. According to her, gentle techniques may later be reintroduced selectively, especially in untreated areas or between treatment cycles.

Generally, dermatologists agree that intense face toning techniques immediately after line-reducing treatments is not advisable. Overstimulating treated muscles too early may shorten the longevity of the injectable and, in some cases, contribute to wrinkle formation instead of preventing it. However, lighter techniques such as lymphatic drainage massage and gentle facial manipulation may still help improve circulation, reduce puffiness, and support overall skin quality.

Experts also advise against severe facial massage, vigorous rubbing, strong gua sha pressure, and prolonged stretching after injections. Overdoing face exercises can cause uneven movement, stress, headaches, discomfort in the face, or the appearance of new expression lines.

Nowadays, a lot of individuals view beauty injections as more than simply a quick fix. Instead, it is becoming a part of a more all-encompassing preventative beauty routine that also incorporates non-invasive therapies, skincare, sunscreen, hydration, and sleep. Facial stretching routine is becoming more and more integrated into this routine as a supportive method rather than as a substitute for injectables.

Age may also have an impact on the results. While older patients with deeper wrinkles may depend more on injectables for visible treatment, younger people with moderate expression lines may benefit more from preventative botox combined with light face exercises.

Ultimately, skin-smoothing injections and facial lifting therapy are not entirely incompatible. They can coexist, but thoughtfully. The safest approach lies in moderation, timing, and understanding which parts of the face benefit from movement and which areas may require rest after treatment.

6 Facial Laser Hair-Removal Devices for Smoother Skin

Published

At-home laser hair removal devices are transforming the way people manage unwanted facial hair, offering a more convenient path to smoother, clearer skin. These devices use light energy to target hair follicles, which slows down growth over time and makes hair come back less often.

Here are six of the best facial laser hair-removal devices worth considering

Image: uk.braun.com

Braun Skin i-Expert IPL: This smart device automatically adjusts to your skin tone, which helps ensure safe and consistent results with little guesswork.

Ulike Air 3 IPL: This device is popular for its cooling technology, which makes treatment less painful while still effectively targeting hair roots.

Philips Lumea Prestige: This works well on sensitive areas of the face, like the upper lip and chin, because it comes with different attachments for different areas.

The Tria Beauty Laser 4X: This device uses diode laser technology instead of IPL, which makes it better at getting rid of stubborn hair.

Lumi IPL from RoseSkinCo: The Lumi IPL from RoseSkinCo is small and easy to use, and it doesn’t hurt. You can see results in a few weeks.

Adapt SmoothSkin Pure: Designed for speed and convenience, it automatically adjusts intensity and can result in reduced hair growth after just a few sessions.

Most at-home devices use IPL (intense pulsed light). It works best on darker hair and lighter skin tones because it targets pigment in the hair. Results don’t happen right away, but after a few weeks of regular use, hair grows back finer and more slowly.

Overall, these devices provide a practical long-term solution for hair removal, helping to maintain smoother skin with less frequent upkeep.

Cardi B Launches “Grow-Good,” a Hair Care Line Inspired by Bronx DIY Beauty Recipes

Published

With Grow-Good Beauty, Cardi B enters the beauty industry. The line is based on Bronx DIY beauty traditions and her Dominican family’s home hair recipes.

Cardi, who is well-known for her strong work discipline, says the idea developed over time. She had been trying out hair mask recipes from her grandmother and improving them long before the brand existed. Her 2020 DIY mask, which went viral and was made with ingredients like mayo, eggs, honey and oils, was an early look at what would eventually become a full product line.

She stresses that Grow-Good Beauty is based on both science and tradition, saying “I want to make this, but better.” It took three years to make the brand and it underwent several testing. Cardi insisted on products that work for different hair types instead of a one-size-fits-all formula.

Grow-Good Beauty, starts with a full wash-day system that includes shampoos, conditioners, a deep repair mask, and a serum designed for shine, smoothing and heat protection. The collection includes multiple shampoos and conditioner variants for different hydration levels, which is in line with Cardi’s belief that no two hair textures are the same, even in the same family.

She says, “I learned that from my daughter,” pointing out how different her child’s fine hair is from her own. That insight became one of the brand’s main ideas.

Grow-Good Beauty, combines “old-school kitchen remedies with new-school science” including ingredients such as avocado, coconut oil, moringa oil, and mango seed butter, alongside proprietary complexes along with advanced formulas that are meant to protect and strengthen hair. Cardi says it’s a mix of “grandma recipes and modern technology.”

Cardi admits that her own routine isn’t perfect, even though she has a busy schedule and is on tour a lot. She often relies on wigs and quick styling. Still, she hopes the line helps people learn more about and take better care of their natural hair.

Grow-Good Beauty launched April 2026 and is now available online, with more product expansions expected soon.
