Lamar Odom Explains His Comments About Marrying Khloé Kardashian for Fame

Published

on

Lamar Odom is responding to backlash over comments featured in his Netflix documentary “Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom,” after ex-wife Khloé Kardashian publicly disputed the suggestion that fame influenced his decision to marry her.

The controversy resurfaced following the film’s release in March. In the documentary, Odom reflected on his relationship with Kardashian and spoke about being drawn to the lifestyle surrounding the Kardashian family. His longtime friend Anthony “Pumpkin” Booker also recalled an alleged comment from Odom on his wedding day about the family’s influence and connections potentially benefiting his future.

Kardashian, who took part in the project without compensation, addressed the film in April on her podcast “Khloé in Wonder Land.”
Kardashian criticized suggestions that Odom married her for fame and said she regretted participating in the documentary.

Months later, Odom pushed back on that interpretation during an appearance on “Nothing’s Off the Table with Louis Ruggiero.” Addressing the controversy directly, Odom said he never claimed to have married Kardashian for clout. According to him, that interpretation stemmed from remarks made by other people interviewed for the project.

According to Odom, he entered the relationship as an established public figure and did not require additional exposure. He said his decision to marry was based on genuine affection, not ambition. While acknowledging the intense media attention around their union, he described the relationship as one that developed quickly and naturally, and became one of the era’s most discussed celebrity pairings.

The exchange has renewed tension between the former couple. Speaking on her podcast, Kardashian said she does not plan to participate in any future projects related to Odom. She also criticized comments she believes downplayed the role she played in supporting him after his near-fatal overdose in 2015.

Their relationship began in 2009 and ended with a finalized divorce in 2016. It remains a point of public interest in part because of its visibility, and in part because of the contrast between private struggle and public narrative.

Today, their accounts diverge. Odom maintains his words and intentions have been misrepresented. According to Kardashian, the documentary and the interviews that followed brought back issues she believed had long been resolved.

The dispute illustrates a familiar challenge in documenting high-profile relationships: when memory, media framing, and personal perspective intersect, a single story rarely satisfies all involved. As both continue to speak publicly, the conversation underscores how the legacy of a relationship can remain contested long after it ends.

Jada Pinkett Smith Moved Back In With Will Smith Two Years Ago, Source Says

Published

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith are living together again, and according to a new report, they have been sharing the same home for the past two years. A source close to the couple says Jada quietly moved back in with Will, adding that they’re in a much happier place these days and continue to support each other the way they always have.

Will, 57, and Jada, 54, have been married since 1997, but their relationship has never followed the usual Hollywood formula. In 2023, Jada caught many people off guard when she revealed that she and Will had actually been living separately since 2016, despite continuing to attend events and make public appearances together. Rather than describing it as the end of their marriage, she said their relationship had simply changed, and admitted they were still trying to figure out what that new chapter looked like.

Even during the years they lived apart, they remained a constant presence in each other’s lives. Family always came first, and they continued showing up for one another. That was on display last month when they attended Jaden Smith’s Christian Louboutin menswear show during Paris Fashion Week. Joining them were their daughter, Willow, Will’s son Trey from his previous marriage to Sheree Zampino, and Jada’s mother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris, making it a full family outing.

They were seen together again over the Fourth of July in Philadelphia during the city’s 250th anniversary celebration. Will had originally been scheduled to perform earlier in the evening, but severe weather forced organizers to delay the show. He eventually took the stage with The Roots at around 2 a.m., and Jada stayed by his side throughout the night.

Jada has always been open about the ups and downs in their marriage. While promoting her 2023 memoir, “Worthy”, she spoke honestly about how much she still loves Will, even as they continued working through what their relationship would look like moving forward.

If their recent public appearances and the latest report are any indication, Will and Jada appear to be building this next chapter together, with their family still serving as the foundation of their relationship.

Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi is expanding its attractions with two new DC-themed rides, adding to the park’s Metropolis zone on Yas Island.

Photo: Instagram

The first addition, Kryptonite Collider, opens on July 26 and is inspired by Lex Luthor’s fictional Everyman Project. Guests will board a 32-seat spinning ride where the story begins in the queue before continuing through the attraction itself. Synchronized lighting, and onboard audio combine to create the experience of taking part in one of Luthor’s experimental projects and gaining superhuman abilities.

The second attraction is expected to open in 2028. Called Superman: Up and Away, it will be a flying roller coaster that positions riders face-down to recreate the sensation of flying alongside Superman. The ride will introduce a coaster style not commonly found in the region, adding a standout experience to Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi’s growing lineup and marking another step in the park’s ongoing expansion.

Both attractions will expand the park’s Metropolis zone, which already features rides inspired by Green Lantern and Batman. The two new attractions follow the earlier announcement of a Harry Potter-themed land, adding to Yas Island’s growing collection of experiences based on some of Warner Bros.’ best-known franchises.

Miral’s Chief Portfolio Officer, Jonathan Brown said, the expansion is designed to enhance the guest experience and contribute to Yas Island’s tourism offering. Simon Robinson said the two attractions are part of the continued expansion of the park’s Metropolis zone.

With Kryptonite Collider set to open this month and Superman: Up and Away planned for 2028, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi continues to expand its range of DC-themed attractions while supporting Yas Island’s broader growth as a major entertainment destination.
